Aqui fica a mensagem completa que nos enviou, em inglĂȘs.
I found a dog, Lua, in the Algarve last year and kept her with me for a while. Now I’m in Barril de Alva/Oliveira do Hospital. I’m going back to Holland soon and can’t bring the dog to the house where I’ll be staying.
Meet Lua. Sheâs full of life, energetic, happy, friendly and tremendously kind. She is beautiful too! Gorgeous markings and a shiny coat. She even smiles! I found her in a ruin in the Algarve as a pup. Lua loves to run after sticks and toys and will bring them back. Although her favorite game is: Iâve got the toy! Come and take the toy from me! She loves to cuddle and is very gentle. Lua has traveled around in a van, she has lived on a farm, in a village and by a river.
This traveling has turned Lua into a dog that is adaptable to change. She loves various ways of living and quickly feels right at home. Lua has a knack for getting other dogs to play with her. Even older dogs that have given up on playing find themselves running around with playful Lua. She loves other dogs, small or big, young or old, she will find a way to play with any dog. She has lived with cats too and if you want her to live with a cat, all you have to do is take a few minutes to let her see the cat, let her know that this cat is off limits and there you go: she wonât chase that cat. Sheâll recognize the cat. Lua travels well in the car and loves going to the woods and parks and rivers and beaches.
Basically she wants to run around frequently and far. Sheâll come back when you call her, especially if you have treats or a toy. Lua can be quite hyper when she meets new people, especially men with a deep voice and large build. This has become much less now that sheâs matured a bit, and I know this will become much less in the future. Sheâs also quite strong, but she doesnât generally pull on the leash. She knows some tricks: Poot (shake), andere poot (other paw), sit, lie (plaats), stay, leave it, heel, letâs walk and come.
If you yell Jump! sheâll jump really high with all four legs off of the ground. In my opinion Lua is the perfect dog. Sheâs so much fun, kind, sweet, gentle, funny and a big cuddler. Anyone will be lucky to have her. Her breed is Portuguese street dog according to the vet. I donât think sheâs related to Doberman or Rottweiler, but perhaps a far, far, relative was one. Sheâs neutered and vaccinated.
